About Hairway to Heaven

The Bearded Man is a gender-neutral barber shop, and Hairway to Heaven is our education-baby. We strive to be forward-thinking, innovative and we want to evolve as individuals and within the hair industry. It helps us to know what influences our style and inspiration. We believe in collaboration and community as we often work with our neighbours to share knowledge we might otherwise overlook. We commend and support other barbers in our community because this is the only way to be. Our industry relies on collaboration and inspiration, so let's phase out the egos.

Introduction

Learn what it takes to be a professional and progressive stylist in 2019 with “Hairway to Heaven” fundamentals course. This community driven team of passionate stylists want to share their knowledge with you. This workshop has been designed to provide an intimate hands-on experience with the Bearded Man’s creative team. Hairway to Heaven takes a holistic approach to our education, and consider all student’s prior knowledge and skill set when undergoing our training. Hairway to Heaven focuses on consultation, customer service and precision haircuts.

Hairway to Heaven - Fundamentals

Have you ever picked up a pair of clippers but don't really know how to use them properly? Do you want to shave someone with a razor but just the thought gives you wobbly knees? Fundamentals is the course for you then! We will give you great entry level skills to fade, razor and approach hair in a new creative way.

No Ego’s, Just Fun

We cut hair to empower people and give them confidence and we feel the same when it comes to our education.

We ask that you leave that ego at home and be open minded. Cutting hair is for our community!
